I started walking from my hotel at 8.00 am. Most of the shops were still closed at that moment. Only shops selling breakfast and laundry shops had started their business. There were many different choices of food such as Arabic food, Indian food and some pastry.
The way to Al-Fahidi was quite easy. I walked from my hotel to Al-Fahidi Metro station, turned right at the junction until I reached the roundabout.
Al-Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is basically a district with a bunch of buildings built with traditional building materials, giving it its own unique aesthetic. There were several museums, a mosque, cafes and even hotels in this area.
There were a lot of tourists that day, some from Europe, some from China and even from Vietnam. I could see that this place is a must-go places in Dubai. I really liked the walls and the doors of the building here. Each building is like a block, arranging next to one another in its own way. I hoped I could take nice OOTD photo here but I was alone, so, I had to take selfie with my trust-worthy selfie stick. (Haha^^)
The first stop I went to the coffee museum which was located near to the car park. You could learn about the history of coffee, origins and even have a chance to taste the Arabic coffee here for FREE. Too bad I could not tolerate caffeine, so I just gave the free coffee a pass.

Then, I randomly walk around the district, letting my feeling leads me. I really like the aesthetic the building gave me. I took a lot of selfies when I was in this area. I took selfie in the alley, with the doors and even the tree and the benches.
There was also coin museum where you can know the history of all coins around the world. I was not a big fan of museum. So, I just glance through in the coin museum. The visit to coffee museum and coin museum were both free.
In front of the coin museum was a mosque. You may visit the mosque but you need to have a guide with you to enter. To get a guide, you need to go to Sheikh Mohammed Centre of Cultural Understanding (SMCCU). There were different tours you may sign up for at SMCCU to learn more about the Emirates Culture. For example, you may sign up for the cultural meal experience, Heritage tour and eg. (http://www.cultures.ae/)

In front of the cafe was the Wall of Old Dubai. This Bur Dubai wall was constructed in 1800 AD, serving as a defence wall of old city.
There were still shops are yet to open when I was there. I wasn't able to really tour the whole places but I still loved that place.
If you are the kind of person who likes history a lot, you may consider staying in this area and spend some time walking around and enjoy the whole aesthetic this area gives you. It is totally different from the modern buildings you see around the city.
