Where I visit in Dubai (part 2) Souk & Jumeirah

After visiting Al-Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, I walked down Al-Fahidi street to Dubai Museum or Traditional Architecture Museum (as shown in Google map).

The entrance fee for Dubai Museum is AED 3 for age 6 and AED 1 for age below 6. I ended up did not enter the museum because there were 4 different groups of tourists visiting the museum. It was too crowded so I decided to go to the souk instead.

At the end of this alley, I arrived at textile souk. This alley has many shops and tailor shops.

There were also shops selling spices, herbs and souvenirs. This is a very good place to get good bargain price for souvenirs. Next to the textile souk is Bur Dubai Abra Station. I took the water taxi from this station to Deira Station where Gold Souk and Spice Souk are. The water taxi cost only AED 1.

After disembarking at Deira Station, there were many ships unloading the shipments by the port.

I walked along the street to get to the Old Souk. Here, you can find many shops selling different items, spices, souvenirs, stationery, carpets and also imported products. Basically, you can find anything here.

After walking around Old Souk, I turned to the Gold Souk. There were many different jewelry made from gold and diamonds. Many tourists were there to buy gold jewelries at super deal price.

After visiting all these souks, I took metro from Al-Ras Station to Jumeirah Lakeside Tower Station. It cost me AED 7.50 to travel across 3 zones.

This station was very different from Burjuman Station. This station was much quiet compared to Burjuman. In order to get to Jumeirah Lakeside Tower, I have to change from the green line to the red line metro at Burjuman station. It took me almost an hour to reach Jumeirah Lakeside Tower Station from Al-Ras Station.

I wasn't able to visit the public beach because I was too tired to walk anymore. So, I was only able to look at the Burj al-Arab hotel from far.

I went back to Burjuman area and took my lunch at Jolibee. My first and last meal in Dubai were both Jolibee. Haha.
